Our Story
On the top of an hill in front of the historical Tuscan city of Siena and at the entrance of the Crete Senesi, Podere Vesta is an ancient farmhouse built at the end of the 19th century. It was part of the largest Salteano Farm and was inhabited by farming families who worked the fields until the end of World War II, after which it was abandoned and fell into ruin. In the mid-1990s, our family, who has always been living in this area, purchased the property and began a careful rebuilt. Our family personally oversaw the works, with particular attention to materials, styles, the environment, and sustainability, which have always been important for us. Our mission is to preserve and take care for what we have created and to ensure our guests enjoy relax, safety, peace, and harmony.
Our Facility
Set in the beautiful landscape of the Crete Senesi, Podere Vesta gives travellers a typical Tuscan welcome. The city of Siena is the backdrop to the wide, open spaces immersed in nature and to the panoramic swimming pool, framing the group of four buildings which host sixteen bright apartments furnished in Tuscan Arte Povera. The materials used are traditional: brick, wooden beams, and wrought iron, with great respect for the traditional style. But Podere Vesta doesn’t forget the comfort of its guests: all apartment amenities are chosen bearing this in mind. Each apartment has a furnished outside area with a table, chairs, and a parasol, and by the pool, umbrella with two sunbeds and a deck chair. The relax of our guests is guaranteed by our services. Every morning our guests can have fresh bread and croissants, which can be ordered the day before at the reception. We are always available for information and suggestions on tours, restaurants, museums, supermarkets, and anything else that can make our guests’ vacation comfortable and unforgettable. Because Podere Vesta is all about relax.
